DPW sells trees to residents for $175 for planting in the public right of way
Tree Request Forms must be submitted by January 31st, 2024 in order to get a tree for the Spring 2024 planting
Your request will be reviewed by DPW within 7-10 business days of submission to determine if the site is appropriate for a tree planting. Approved requests will receive a mailed/emailed invoice following the determination.

Maintenance responsibilities fall to the applicant. This includes watering, pruning, and general protection from damage. It is recommended that homeowners conduct the following maintenance for newly planted trees:

Water once a week (20 Gal.)
Protect the tree trunk
Mulch as needed

*The Department of Public works along with the contractor, MISS DIG, will survey the right-of-way to ensure no conflicts with the surrounding infrastructure. In addition, the site is suitable for your tree(s) to grow and thrive.
